Been looking all over for an answer to this & can't seem to find much. I have a Dansk stainless rear silencer (Standard I think) on my car & it still has the standard pre silencer. I was thinking of replacing this with a Dansk Stainless through pipe instead.
Is this recommended? It will probably make the car a little louder but I can live with this. Anything else?

Many thanks & kind regards, Kevin

Kevin can I suggest you join ImpactBumpers.com (if you haven't) and ask the question there.

I'd also look at Turbo Thomas exhausts, that's who I'd get to make a 3.2 exhaust.

Thank you. Already asked the question on there but not much response frown I already have the Dansk rear silencer & wanted the same make through pipe.
Just really want to know if there are any negatives to doing this.

Excuse my ignorance, what's a pre-silencer?

From memory the 3.2 does not have a pre silencer. No cats either

Don't know for sure, but pretty sure this is the case. Just the one silencer across the back,

Some do have cats though.

I see you've posted this in 3 places now smile

You'll get more noise, but shouldn't be unruly even with your Dansk main silencer - maybe the odd bit of popping and banging on the over run. When i changed mine I felt the torque shifted up the Rev range a bit and I think this was proven n the dyno. Not a huge difference but noticeable

Speak to TurboThomas too - last I heard dansk had mild steel flanges which don't stay silver/grey for long ....

How confusing. Where does the pre muffler go with two pipes one end and on the other?

Yep, Like to ask in as many places as possible. smile Thank you for your reply smile Over the winter I intend to take the exhaust off & give it a good clean, paint the flanges. This is ideal for replacing the pre silencer (Yes, they do have one smile ) (Others who don't think they do)
I want to stay with Dansk as this is what the rear silencer is. I don't mind some extra pops etc as I am still a big kid & this kind of thing makes me smile smile

To the crossover pipe, not the most efficient design

How did it work out? Looking to replace my back box with a Dansk one, and need to do the Pre-silencer as well, but considering the straight pipe?

I replaced my stainless Danske pre silencer with a straight pipe.
Straight swap very easy....
No appreciable difference in noise, (disappointing) no real difference in performance on road driving.
Havnt done a track day with it.
