Its funny when I bought my 944 S2 they were going for around £10k or so, good turbos a bit more. The 968 and 964 were both around £16K and up, the 964RS I remember seeing one Henry F had for sale for £23K. 928 S4s were actually going for less than a decent S2 back then. Judging by the OPs user name this is nothing other than pure jealousy at the values of the rear engined cars compared to those with the engine in the front, I apologise if this isn't the case but honestly unless one is looking to buy a 964 C2 who gives a stuff.
I'm a massive 964 fan but even I think that's pushing it a bit.
This for £40k or the (1 of only 16 UK cars) GT2 Clubsport in the classifieds for £35k?!
I know they are different things but anyone buying that 964 would be overlooking some seriously fast and also rare Pork.
And if you aren't after the thump of a turbo then £40k is getting into 996 GT3 territory. A way pointier driving tool with, again limited numbers and massive sense of occasion.
I do see the irony of the OP though. So basically we have to leave dealers alone if they're trying it on, but we can flame private sellers all we want as they don't offer a warranty. Oh dear...

I agree with most on here. This car is not far away where it should be judging by mileage and perceived condition.
It was this one last night which made my eyebrows lift.

£35k, for a cab, with 188k miles on it??? Really?

Not sure why anyone thinks this is overpriced. You idiots just don't understand car sales. Once he's thrown some fairy liquid at it, vacuumed it, paid his mortgage, lunch money, 150% income tax, I'll be surprised if he makes more than 2%! It's a dangerous game, only for the truly brave, so why don't you all f
k off and mind your own business. Losers.
Oh and don't forget the VAT
. That's 40% or someone isn't it? s
t he'll make a loss at this rate. It's just so unfair.

I can't link it as I'm on my phone.
Actually, I'm not sure it is a CS. Advert says carbon buckets and only half cage. Someone seemed to remember it being a CS but maybe not. Either way, that or a 250hp 964? No brainer.

merely pointing out at IMO its 10k overpriced and it could
need an engine rebuild
Or it is well priced and doesn't need an engine rebuild? need an engine rebuild
It's unusual to see three C2's up for sale at the same time, the average asking price of those cars is £43k btw so why is this 10k overpriced? With 964RS at £100k considered normal is it such a surprise to see C2 prices also rising.

Not necessarily a no brainer mate. It's more a reflection of how 964s have become appealing to collectors. And this one being a low mileage, original car will certainly appeal to those that are looking for one to keep in their garage for a few years. I think it'll sell close to the price but I don't think the buyer will be our friendly shark trader.
