Hi there

Can anyone recommend a really good Paintshop in the South East.
My 993 needs paint correction on the rear wing and I would be grateful if anyone knows someone that can match Polar Silver and blend it in to surrounding panels with a good match??

Many thanks

Sittingbourne Car care. They've did my 964 (amazing job) and now have my 993 turbo in. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

'Paint correction' isn't painting.

What's the actual problem?

I have been wondering about this, too. My paint is fine apart from stone chips that could easily be touched up by anyone remotely competent (i.e. not me). Does a "paint correction" not include touching up stone chips? No point shining the hell out of the thing and leaving chips.

Apologies 'paint correction' is probably an incorrect term to use.

It started with me just rubbing down some small stone chips right inside the wheel arch lip. Unfortunately, each time I rubbed down and re-primed ready for painting, the area got larger and larger until after many attempts I ended up respraying 6 inches of inner wheel arch and then 10 by 10 inches of side PU panel. I achieved a fair finish but due to the metallic paint it is a very poor colour match.
So, I need a professional who is competent to respray again to achieve a better colour match.

Understood. I can see how that would happen. Polar is very difficult to match.

Could you narrow down 'south-east' at all?

East Sussex?

I'm in Sanderstead so East Sussex is viable

With your location, I'd find out who Byfleet OPC (were Camtune) uses. Otherwise Precision in East Sussex have a good reputation.

I haven't really had any paintwork done, so I can't give you a personal recommendation.

Hi,

Try Dave at Westfield Crash Repairs Ltd, 23 Westfield Street SE18 5PH.
(020 8316 6513)

Dave did some paint repair to the front and rear wing edges, scuttle joins, and repainted my rear bumper on my 964 to exactly match the original paint. My car is Amazon pearl and now that it is finished you cannot tell where the repair and paint rectification was done. Westfields always have some exotic and classic cars being restored so you can see the quality of their work.

I am not affiliated to the business at all, just a very happy customer smile
