Hi there, does anyone have any information on the history/porevious owners etc of this car? A friend of mine has bought it and exported it and is having a hard time getting info on its earlier years. Any help would be great.

Regards,

Rohan

That really is pure unadulterated filth. No porn pls. I'm going to have to find a good 964 turbo or 1989 G50 turbo - just love em. That lwt is something else though. Very special car.

C'mon guys, really nobody can help about my car ?! Both J870 BJN (old owner of the car) or P357 SPU (son of the owner) would help and I'm sure old owner was a member of the PCGB ( sticker of the PCGB on the rear quarter window )

Thank you

I think the garages are being a little unhelpful with their interpretation of the Data Protection Act. I think as the current owner of the car you should be entitled to copies of all the work they have carried out. Firstly I'd speak to Nathan at Porsche Customer Service in Reading and explain your problem - he should be able to help.

If not I'd write to the dealer principal at each OPC and request the information in writing (include a few photos of car and chassis nos stamp). Also state you're willing to indemnify the OPC's in the wholly unlikely event the receive a complaint for releasing copies of the works done. They know as well as anyone the historical significance of your car and are behaving ridiculously. CC the letter you send to the two OPCs to the MD of Porsche Cars Great Britain so if they still do not play ball you can then write to him directly offering to indemnify PCGB.

The 'BJN' part of the reg number suggests to me that it may not be a C16 car...is it rhd?...which may be why info on it may be sketchy....

Not sure what you exactly mean as I am not familiar at all with UK registration numbers (live in France). Understand between the lines that "C16" is a code for rhd cars ?! The car I'm desperately trying to find information about is not rhd but lhd... which could indeed complicate everything ?!

I did contact the Porsche UK Customer Service, of which first answer was "NO WAY" frown their answer below :

Porsche UK Customer Service said:
From the information that you have provided I can only confirm that Porsche will not release any information about a vehicle that occurred before being acquired by the current owner. I understand that you may find this response disappointing but would like to request your understanding in this matter
I answered and told them their response obviously was disappointing and that my intention mainly was getting copies of service/maintenance records of the car ( which is essential information to me for such a rare and significant car ) rather than trying to get in touch with old owner (this Gentleman anyway passed away). I got a next eMail ( first time I got positive news ) which makes me hope situation could maybe soon look different ( hope I am not too optimistic ). Their second eMail below :

Porsche UK Customer Service said:
Further to your reply to me recent email. I can confirm that it in order to maintain consistency for all of our Porsche owners it remains not possible to provide the specific details as you originally requested. However, as a standard practice we are able to provide details of Porsche Centres that have interacted with the vehicle for routine service work that you may then contact directly for further details. Accordingly, please reply to this email with a copy of registration or other documents that contain both the VIN and your name and address on the same page. For your information we do not require copies of your Passport or other personal identity documents. On receipt of the request documents, either myself or a colleague will advise you, via email, of the Porsche Centres to contact. Finally, I hope you find this information useful and acceptable
Not bad and first time ever I see some light in the dark.

This is where I am now. I will forward the requested documents to Porsche UK Customer Service and hope every party involved ( read Porsche Centre ) will play.

In the end, I just would need copies of service records / invoices and I do not care if old owner's data has been deleted from the copies ( which I even would perfectly understand !).

Maybe someone of the Forum has good connections to the Porsche Centres the car has been serviced at and will be in a position of helping/supporting me ?! We are not there yet but I am grateful for any potential help thumbup

My friend had the ex Faldo turbo S a few years ago (now sold by SCOM into some ones collection in the far east). I got to drive it on a few occasions ....... what a car, would pull to silly speeds so easily, its a shame he sold it, but it was getting no use and sat in his barn for over a year unused

This is one of the maddest, baddest, rarest 911's ever.
You know it's probably trading well north of £200k. Fabulous car.

Do you have Carlos Monteverde on your register? I thought he had a lightweight Turbo S in black. Saw it some years ago.

No I don't...I read somewhere that he was selling his Ferrari collection to better focus on Porsche but I never heard about him owning a black Turbo S lightweight. Any chance to get in touch with him ?!
