Slate grey (non metallic) 993

I think that the duck-tail will look okay, but if I get tired of it i have the original pop up, which has been painted also, it is 6 bolts and a connector. I can live with that. I have some 964 3.6 turbo replica wheels for now, but really fancy the Fuchs 18 inch wheels. I am going for a fairly soft street look Carrera decals in a slightly lighter shade of grey. For now i am keeping the interior as is. black/grey. I was very tempted to go for signal green, but think that it would need RS door cards, recaro pole position seats an a full black carpet set, which put it well over the planned budget.
It is intended to be a bit of fun without breaking the bank while keeping the rear seats and good road manners. The last 993 that i did ended up a bit too hard for the road. RS flywheel, tuned engine and KW suspension. This one is going to be comfortable... i must be getting old.
I like the red leather idea, that would look nice.
This photo got me started.

The new windscreen is in. the old one came out for the paint. There was the normal corrosion in the corners of the screen. not too bad. I have sorted the lights and gone for RS brake ducts with side lights to replace the chipped front fog lights.
lots of new rubbers, brackets and screws etc to add to the fresh look.
The wheels are the next real decision £2,300 is a lot. I have a set of 17 inch Cup 2 wheels that are refurbished and the replicas in the photo. I am thinking that if i sell both sets I could justify the Fuchs..
It is all a matter of cost really. I have made a good job of the important parts, the wheels can be changed at any time. I think that the ones in the photo will look okay, but the Fuchs would look super.

Do that then. Sell the 2 sets, add a bit and buy the Fuchs.
I think that is one compromise you would regret if you didn't push the boat out a bit.
The Fuchs will make a huge difference to the finished look.
I agree, if you fit one of your existing sets you'll never be happy. Sell your wheels and get the Fuchs.....just look at them I think that is one compromise you would regret if you didn't push the boat out a bit.

(keep the cup2s - you'll want to go back to them at some point in the future. Really. Trust me.)
Lovely colour - well done for changing from faded black.
But they're 16" Cup 2's - can't see much desirability in them myself, I think most would agree, which is why so few cars even had them when new - most had the 17" upgrade which suits the car a lot better.Lovely colour - well done for changing from faded black.
