I have a friend looking for a 993 shape GT2.
I have had a look on Autotrader and the 996 shape seem to go for £80-90k.
How much would a 1995-99 GT2 be? I heard a rumour they were almost the same as the 996 shape GT2 as there were a lot less made?

Many thanks.

depends which variant you're after. try looking on www.gtclassics.co.uk or www.911-rs.de for a start.

They are quite rare though! I'd say from GBP60k to GBP100k for an RSR or 'clubsport' version. I may well be corrected by other more market oriented people in the not too distant future though....

Anything between £75k for something with high mileage (gtclassics have a 70k mile car) to a couple that I know of in Europe that are for sale for £120ish.

Last low mileage one that was sold ended up going for around £111k. These prices are for LHD, non-accident damaged cars with good history. As for RHD - low mileage unmolested cars if you can find them, perhaps £130-£140?

Seriously sought after, and worth more than a 996 version.

RHD are very , very rare. Only 8 in existence I think.

Local OPC sold an RSR for £105k earlier in the year and that was LHD.

Just buy a cheap 993 and whack a cheap fibreglass body kit on it. No-one will notice...

Vic!

You should know... :-)

It's been a while - how's big blue?

I'm back in a 933 - not a C4S this time, just a vanilla 993 C2 (but LHD again, of course).

Must catch up sometime. Drop me a line.

Take care.

You will be disappointed to know that Paul Stephens sold one of the few RHD models a few months back.

Guards red, and with only 9,500 miles it was listed at £89,995 - which to me seemed way underpriced. Not surprised it sold quite quickly.

Would'nt be surprised to see the same car turn up at £110k or more elsewhere...

And they sold it to it's current owner. Saw it at a local Porsche specialist recently, needed a bit of work.

£89995 would have been underpriced for an original good condition RHD GT2. Maybe £130K would be nearer the mark. Bear in mind a superb LHD car with slightly lower mileage sold for £110k.

Oh bugger. I remember seeing that car turn up at Paul Stephens and thinking it was cheap.

Even considered taking the plunge and buying it with a view to enjoying it for the summer and then selling it on at a profit.

Looks like someone else had the same idea..!

Dont think u missed much at £100+ it needs to be a very nice ORIGINAL car ,not just low mileage etc ...........anyone who saw this red car wud sppot the difference pretty fast ,and some things cannot just be rectified!

Vic
Fear of it's current owner subscribing to this fine forum previously stopped me voicing an opinion on the car but it is less than perfect.

AmD have got a very tidy red RHD 993 GT2 in for a spot of fettling at the mo. Very nice car.

PS Domster, what's with the black headlight surrounds? The Baron looks like Herbie! (with mascara).

PPS Anyone got a spare set of Cup I wheels they'd like to sell? I need some t/day wheels instead of the mags.
