Well for those still awake at the back ....
Some research today (its raining now) shows 7 cars on Pistonheads and 2 on Autotrader, the mileage and price range is between 46k and 82k miles and price between £48k and £60k with all the variables in between, for example the cheapest car at 48k is not the highest mile car its only done 68k miles, and the highest mileage at 82k miles is one of the 5 £60k cars but is Guards Red, as with all these types of car I would suggest buying / pricing to sell on condition not mileage.
I have still to get over and view the car, I have seen so many cars described as "immaculate" cars in my time I will wait and see but if it all stacks up I think we should advertise privately at £48,750

May be a good idea to get the PPI done, will put you and prospective buyers minds at ease and save you having to answer lots of obvious questions.

I bought mine privately (an absolute peach, from a real enthusiast) after looking at two really ropey dealer cars. Going privately certainly shouldn't put anyone off - just pay for a decent PPI from a knowledgable expert for piece of mind. OK, so you won't have a warranty to fall back on, but make sure you have a couple of £'000 put to one side for sorting sundry issues.

Totally agree, and the money saved between a private seller and a dealers price would fix quite a bit, even at Porsche prices!Hi Guys, I went to view the car tonight so as I know what I am talking about in the event anyone is interested.
I have to say the car is in really good condition, if that interior is not a factory option then it is a really good job, it really does go well with the car, not sure if you can see in the previous picture but the leather is the perforated type like the factory.
Anyway, bodywork is in pretty much perfect shape to be honest, car has recent new Pirelli tyre, all discs appear to be fairly recent as there is no lip on them.
As a buyer I would say the wheels could maybe do with a refurb, and the calipers are a little off colour.
I have seen the service book and log book stating 4 previous, i didnt get chance to plough through all the receipts and invoices but appears to be plenty, just need sorting into date order etc.
Will try and get some more pictures up.

Interesting to read that folks are thinking Arena Red might now be an "in" colour. Of course colours change with fashions so this is understandable. I have an Arena Red C2 which Tom supplied. It sat around for some time before I purchased it in November 09. Tom - you never said if you think this was because of the colour, the Tip gearbox, your price or something else (probably all)
Anyway its funny that wherever I go I always have at least one person wander up and utter "nice colour that" "lovely colour" "great colour" or something similar. I don't see many others apart from Turbos and they are limited spots these days.
It looks much better in bright light than low light when it losses the reflection but then thats probably true about most colours.
Regards
Robert

Morning guys, for those that were following, I now have the car at my house, collected last night, I have to say for what is now a 17 year old car what a fantastic drive it is, so quick and planted on the road and yet driving through central London so easy with a light clutch action and slick gear change.
Anyway plan is to give a valet clean and get some nice photos for the add, anyone interested in buying give me a shout.
