That’s failed to sell at least once on Collecting Cars…maybe twice. Bit of history if you do a search on the chassis number.
Oh? wonder why? is it not all it seems?Seems to be this one which quite a status as 1 of only 3 RHD black in the world.

Not sure about some of the details in that article are correct either. States it is rare because it has a sunroof, every RHD UK Touring has a sunroof.
It’s also one of the last 500 cars which makes it the least desirable. The first 500 are the ones people get excited about because they were all lightweight steel cars but the reality is that most of the next 500 cars had lightweight steel too….the last 500 cars were made with the same weight panels as the regular production cars of the time..including the “Lightweights” that were in that batch. Nirvana is a “first 500 lightweight” in something like Gulf Blue or Blood Orange.
Kitty what were you insinuating with this car and the HK car?
These two cars plus a good friend has a black one plus J Watsons car thats at least 4 cars.

So thats 5 black rhd,let alone the rest around the world,1500 odd rs built and approx 3000certs of authenticity!
I was referring to Nicks car,he still gets ribbed for it being rhd in the usa.
Not sure Blood Orange would work well with the larger expanses of paint on the 991-992, but if you were brave enough to try it, it would be a job for Tyrone at Riviera Autobodies.
Blood works better on the “dainty” aircooled cars. Here’s an absolutely stunning example Tyrone at Riviera painted :

Blood Orange was my colour of choice for the 991 Touring but - unfortunately - not available via PTS...
Am aware of a BlutOrange 911 making a return, via PTS, to a new RS. The prospective owner, who contributes to @PTSRS, wouldn't divulge generation - or whether GT3 or GT2 - but it's heading to the States.

Granted the interiors of some Singers are a bit “Tart’s boudoir”, but this makes pretty much all of them look like the tart has a modicum of taste.
But that Ruf interior combination is about as hideous as it gets.
Quite. He's also got the same problem I have in my (I think slightly more tasteful) restomod. The steering wheel extension moves the wheel too far away from the stalks. I really need to find a proper solution for that, probably involving some time on my son's 3D printer. But that Ruf interior combination is about as hideous as it gets.
Whilst I wouldn't personally drive a fluorescent yellow 911 with brown velour interior, I'm glad that someone else does and I suppose if you're going to modify something then go big or go home.
However, these resto/mod cars all look very similar to me, it's not quite boring but it is a well trodden path, the quality might vary but they're all largely the same, you either get a 964 with big arches and gold lettering, or a <G-series with holes drilled everywhere. They appeal to me on one level, there are a load of them for sale, lovely cars, a lot of fantastic engineering, £200k+.... but I'm not sure exactly what I'm buying into, it seems too close to a cliche, a fashionable fad, a Shoreditch soy latte, whatever it is, it's not really a new and exciting idea anymore.
Perhaps they've run their course, had their time, etc, or perhaps I'm just getting old, but my bog standard refreshed Guards Red 930 seems like less of a cliche and a better place to be.
