I’ve had a good search but can’t find anything on this.

I’m looking to buy a 944, either an S2 or a Turbo and I’ve bid on a few lately but not won one.

The niggling thought at the back of my mind though, is the engine going to be a let down? Does it have enough drama?

I’m not the biggest fan of 4 cylinders, but I’m struggling to find another car that I like quite as much which has 4 seats and the right amount of 80s/90s cool.

I don’t have the free time to go and test drive one at the mo, before someone just tells me to go and try one.

Thanks for the replies all, so if I do decide on a 944, I’ll go for a turbo. I need the drama!

No.

Get a 928 - proper engine.

But proper bills too. cry
I just can’t get on with the looks of the 928 or 968 unfortunately.

Can’t go with a boxter as I need 4 seats so we can all go to car shows in it.

I wouldn’t be upset if it felt slow, I currently drive an L200, I just want some drama. I had a Saab 9-3 with the V6 engine and the car was crap but I loved it because the engine was such an event.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Ah. About those back seats..... Youd could sit a third person sideways, with their feet in the opposite footwell. But two in the back? Doubtful
It’s ok, my son isn’t quite 2 yet!

James 6546, I hope we've given you some further appreciation of the virtues of the 944 turbo.

Great a drive as the Boxster is, a well prepared 944 turbo is something very special.
Yes, thank you.

I keep looking at stuff, but I’ve not found anything that appeals as much as a 944, just wish I’d bought a turbo about 10 years ago when I was first looking
