We are consistently getting the quoted range of 47-48 miles of battery-only range on the weekends running around doing errands and taking kids to activities, and actually seen 52+ miles a couple of times.
We did 1500 miles on the last tank of petrol on a mix of local commuting, day trips, and longer (70+ mile) runs. For our use case it’s absolutely perfect. Even without switching to an EV charge tariff it’s working out at over £250 pcm cheaper in running costs than our previous car, a new Defender D240.
I have just switched to Octopus Agile, it's early days but so far very impressed, I think it really works for hybrids. Every day at 16:00 they produce the charges for the next day in 30 minutes segments. If you can avoid use between 16:00 to 20:00 it appears to be cheaper than a standard tariff. One thing that surprised me was that frequently the lowest rate is between 13:00 and 16:00, which is great for an afternoon top up. Last Sunday they actually paid me to charge the car and run the dryer! We did 1500 miles on the last tank of petrol on a mix of local commuting, day trips, and longer (70+ mile) runs.
