Cayenne S Hybrid Steering Problem
Discussion
Hi all,
Very strange problem with my 2015 Cayenne S E Hybrid.
I was parking the other day and steered a wheel into a kerb. Felt a slight kick back from the steering wheel, since then I have no power assistance around straight ahead or when not moving.
It’s fine when on the move, but insanely heavy when still.
I have checked all the obvious fuses (both sides and under the bonnet).
Some reading suggests it’s a possible servotronic issue but Im stumped.
No warning lights or codes stored (icarsoft).
I did try a SAS calibration with my icarsoft which it reported was completed.
Thanks for any suggestions, loathed to go to Porsche!

I don’t think full EPAS, it has a fluid reservoir. You can hear the pump spinning when on hybrid power, my code reader shows pump rpm so assume it’s just driven by a motor impudently.
The PAS fluid is on the minimum line, I may try topping it up but feel that’s unlikely to work given that it coincided with a knock!

I posted a reply saying I’d fixed this.
I bought a solenoid from eBay as Porsche didn’t recognise the part number on my one (it didn’t have a Porsche looking P/N).
Replacing it is an easy job, I thought it had fixed it however heavy slow speed steering has returned, it did seem to be better temporarily.
Mystery continues, probably will take it to Porsche as nobody wants to touch a hybrid.
