MiL is looking at getting a Cayenne, think we are going to view a E-Hybrid on Monday.
She's always had Range Rovers and will be coming out of a Sport P400e, so will be new to brand.
Anything in particular we should be checking on a car? Any common faults to look out for?
Thanks.

Which model E Hybrid are you looking at? E2 or E3? The Hybrid Cayenne has been available for 12yrs; lots of cars and a few specific differences.

MY22 really should have remainder of manufacturers Warranty; so some added peace of mind whatever. Going forward I would definitely keep the car in Warranty just for that - Porsche Assistance and the customer support team in the UK are then there if needed. I assume the car is in an official Centre? The level of Sales prep should mean you don't have to worry; it's not like you are looking at a 10yr old car with patchy history; it should be bob-on. Check the reg date against the remaining service interval in the Instrument Cluster - some can leave a few things off regards time/mileage which can be negotiated in the deal - say it's at 30k miles; adding an early major service to get the deal done shouldn't be that difficult.

On another thread some comments hit home which I'd not really considered previously - the Hybrid cars are great for a usage profile where home-charging and a commute less than 30 miles brings the feature to the fore - whereas as a long distance tourer with no access to home-charging the added weight and loss of space make a an S or turbo model the better option.

As the mechanicals should be squared away by the prep process the main thing would be making sure the options on the car fit what you need - is the headlight spec important? Does MiL NEED 18 way adjustable seats, memory and ambient lighting? Porsche options list at build are pretty vast and not many fundamental things can be added. Camera and assistance systems along with parking sensors for example - if not there cannot be added apart from a dashcam from Tequipment. The added functionality of My Porsche and Connect are worth checking they are up to date and working. MiL can get a log-in without a purchase and explore the App and get set up with a profile which will bring the brand to her and add interest.

Thanks for that, very helpful.

Yes it's at a Porsche centre, so warranty and service should be no problems.
Seems to be a good spec car. Had 14 way seats, PDLS, PASM, turbo wheels, ambient lighting and park assist, pan roof etc....
