Cayenne 4.2 D - Timing Chain Cover 2nd Repair in 2 years
Discussion
Hi all
My dad has a 4.2L Cayenne S, which had the timing chain cover repaired under warranty 2 years ago.
It recently went in for a service and health check at a local specialist, and during the inspection they noted a major oil leak around the cover.
They've since diagnosed it as the faulty timing chain cover, and are in the process of sending me their diagnosis report.
I've been in touch with Porsche about it, and asked what the warranty is on any repair jobs, on the basis that a 5K+ job should last longer than 2 years.
They're yet to get back to me on this, but wondering if anyone else has been in this situation with Porsche, and what the outcome was.
Thanks in advance :-)
