Putting my Cayenne into storage

Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I need to put my Cayenne Diesel into storage for about a year, I have access to a secure barn but there is no power in there. So, I was thinking of disconnecting the battery so as not to flatten and damage it. Is this sensible... or will I end up having to re-code the electronics when I connect it back up?
And, any other recommendations...?

Quite an unusual car to keep in storage for a year or more. Does selling it and buying another/something else later not work? I would be tempted to lend it to a family member or friend to keep it in occasional use rather than let it sit doing nothing. I am sure I could help
Not sure about the battery, there are a lot of potential quirks with leaving it sat disconnected for so long.

The short answer is that I love it and don't want to part with it, especially as they don't sell them anymore, but I have access to another 4x4 for the next year so I won't need it for now.

Not sure re Cayenne nor what year we're talking here. But, for 997s (2004-12) at least, its very straightforward to discconnect and reconnect the battery with no coding etc required upon reconnection. On the assumption that the electrics are mostly shared, and thy would be, if you have an early Cayennne I don't see much of an issue.
Wash it, pump up the tyres to avoid flatspots, leave it on a full tank.
Gotta say, I see the making of a 2035 barn find in here!
I use a CTEK trickle charger and put some Porsche fuel stabiliser in (maybe there’s a diesel version?). Personally I start it every 2 weeks, move it backwards and forwards and let it run up to full temp with the air con blasting. I’m hoping to get rid of any condensation and reduce the chances of AC leaks, but I’m sure someone will soon be along to point out my foolishness! I’d actually be glad to hear of any tips people have.
