Panamera 971 Squeaky Brake Pedal - Any Ideas?
Discussion
Hi all, hoping I can tap into the resources here to see if anyone has an ideas on this. The car is a 2019 (971) Panamera Turbo.
I have a squeaky brake pedal (not brakes) - here's a video of this:
You can also hear this clearly outside the car from there area of the servo (bottom of the windscreen, just above the brake pedal), but that doesn't necessarily mean it's coming from outside. I'm conscious this seems a ridiculously small issue but the issue is less the noise, more that you can feel the noise as a bit of friction so it's really bugging me.
The OPC I've been using has been great in trying to resolve this but a fix has so far proven elusive despite, under warranty, them replacing the master cylinder and the electronic brake booster (which I understand is effectively the component with the piston that the brake pedal attaches to). Either of those, but especially the EBC given its location and proximity to the brake pedal and noise, seemed entirely logical solutions for this, but the noise and feel remains exactly the same (if anything, it's a bit worse after the EBC was replaced).
After so much effort and no success on something that annoys me this much, I'd ordinarily be looking to change the car. However, this is an especially unicorn spec of car meaning there's nothing else I want so, ideally, I'd really like to get it fixed.
Anyone had this before or have any ideas?
Cheers!
