2024 Price Rises
Discussion
My attention was drawn to this on another forum.
I am having a new Macan S delivered in a couple of weeks so checked my order form, dated January 2023, against the current configurator price list.
The price of a Macan S has risen from £56,800 to £59,800 (+5.3%) and the cost of my chosen options has risen from £8,776 to £9,658 (+10.0%)
Overall increase of £3,882 (+5.9%)

If it's delivered in a few weeks then it will be a MY23 and the previous price will apply
Yes, it’s not my first rodeo. This is a heads up for new orders. Price rises were supposed to be around 5%, which appears to be nearly the case for the basic vehicles, but options have risen at twice that rate.

when did you order out of interest? whats the current lead times like... my RRS is due back in 18 months, thinking of downsizing to a Macan, although the bump in price is a little off putting!
I ordered the new car on 23rd May 2022, so will have taken 11 months to arriveN111BJG said:

I've paid a deposit, but have yet to get to the point of no return....I am having a new Macan S delivered in a couple of weeks so checked my order form, dated January 2023, against the current configurator price list.

On the price rises, my dealer said:
"We are able to confirm the final price of the car at the freeze point when we know when the car will be built and we have to confirm the spec.
Porsche don’t offer price protection until we get to that point.
If you do choose to cancel at that point then we would give you your deposit back."

I've paid my deposit and have a fully signed order form for a GT4. However, I am unsure whether the specification is locked or not. I'm hoping that the fact the GT4 is no longer available to order means that it is not affected by the price increases. On the price rises, my dealer said:

I'm collecting my new Macan on Wednesday, I was just running through the sums & see that the first 12 months Road Fund Licence will be £2,220.00.
On checking I found that in May 2019 when I collected its predecessor the amount charged was £1,240.00.
That's 79% increase or a compound rate of over 15.7% per year over the four years.
It makes Porsche's price increases seem quite reasonable.
