I’m rapidly disappearing down a 4.2 diesel Cayenne rabbit hole, I’ve had the (2016) BMW for 5 years which is the longest I’ve ever owned a car, and logically it does everything that I need, it’s done 100k miles so I’m sort of at the twist or stick point with it.
I can’t help looking at ads for the Cayenne, it seems £30k buys a 2015/16 60k mile car, possibly with a years extended warranty still on it.
Anybody moved in the same direction? I’d be really interested to hear about experiences, good or bad.
Thanks
G

Hi Gareth not quite the same but similar, i jumped out of a 2014 M6GC (owned almost 5 years) in December in favour of a 2016 Cayenne Turbo, there is a noticeable upgrade in quality, the M6 was great but the Cayenne is better. Apart from obvious improvements in grip, 2 years on the tech has improved too and for comfort the 18 way seats are amazing.

I'm very happy, good luck.

PS we must be similar age, 400/4 eh, I lusted after one of those just like I do now for a Z900 RS cafe but the Mrs isn't keen at all nada no way frown

Thanks, I had a 640 GC, but changed it for the 335d because it was huuuuge! The Cayenne looks a bit shorter so multi storey car parks might not be such a challenge!
I was looking at a Z900rs the other day, they look lovely. I do look at 400/4s from time to time too, but I suspect they would be very disappointing, retro moderns are definitely the way to go
