Traffic Info on MY18 Cayenne without Porsche Connect?
Discussion
I know it is not the answer you're looking for but the traffic info is so poor on my MY17 car I literally never use the PCM SatNav....if my car lost the traffic info tomorrow I wouldn't miss it/waste energy trying to get it fixed. Apple CarPlay and Waze/Google Maps are light years ahead. If you don't have an iPhone I'd look at getting another device that you can use in a mount. No idea about Android Auto.
If the radio has RDS then you may be able to select 'TI' - Traffic Information, but it wouldn't display on the map, it would interrupt whatever source you are listening to and give an announcement.
If you have the option to connect smartphone then Waze etc would avoid the need to pay Porsche subscription.

From memory I thought Cayenne's came with CarPlay as standard from 2017 so that would seem to be the obvious solution unless of course you have an Android phone. Even then I'd be tempted to pick up a cheap secondhand iPhone specifically for the job since CarPlay and by default Waze, Google Maps and Apple Maps can be downloaded free with no ongoing subscription.
