Looking at pretty standard spec new macan anyone ordered recently either directly or through leasing company and what timescale are you being quoted for delivery?

I made enquiries with an OPC last week and was told six months for base model, longer for S and 12 months for GTS

I notes they have added PASM as an option to the base model now

6 months is ok for the base model and with the new tech who would pay high prices for used.

I like mine (DS) never had an issue with it and enjoyed the plush ride and have specced it on my GTS too.

You either like it or you don’t. Some will be heavily opposed to it for whatever reason they can come up with, some have had issues with theirs.

To be honest, I suggest you go test drive one with and one without and macan an decision based on that

Thanks for that, it is for the wife , so more comfort the better.
And can I just ask, are there any sort of bad places on the body work that would be better with a bit of PPF . Guy here has quoted me 4.5k plus VAT for a full PPF , I found that to be a high quote.

Yeah, the whole front end, its a large area so prone to catch every stone thrown up. Mines pretty bad which is a shame as the rest of the car is nice. Also the bodywork just aft of the wheels can suffer the gravel rash.

If the missus is not a sporty driver then air suspension will be nice. The whole argument with those apparently in the know is the size of the wheels make a big difference. I have no idea, mine are 21” rims and the new macan will be 21” rims. I have another car to drive if i need to be ‘sporty’ so i dont go with all the crap spoken about AS as its an SUV not a 911.

Ive been quoted £6k for PPF on the new one which i think is taking the piss for a bit of plastic film, im in the wrong business.

Reep seem to be the go to place for PPF so will contact them directly at some point

Thanks a lot guys, will take a look at that Macan link when I get home tonight.

No, she’s not a sporty driver at all and far from it.
I went for the 20 inch wheels for her as well , just to give it a little more comfort.

Will get the front end done and sills and rear arches done in PPF then.

Had Reep ceramic coat my Navarro before the dealer sent it over, they done a very good job and it’s lasted now into its 5th year .
Cheers guys .

Ive just had PPF fitted to the whole of the front end of my Macan GTS including mirrors, a pillars and the first 8 inches of the top of the roof with ceramic on top.

Placed my order today for a Macan S and dealer estimating May delivery... hopefully he's not undercooking delivery time to me!

Brilliant news, well done .
It was sort of an off the cuff time before I placed the order, so hopefully it could be sooner .

Friend put deposit on a gen 3 Macan S in May, collected it last month. My Dad placed Macan S deposit at same OPC in July, still hasn’t got an allocation, OPC guessing delivery will be sometime Q1 2022.

I was in Porsche Mayfair at lunchtime and they said 6-9 months for a new Macan S or GTS.
