Morning. I will be changing the electric window motors on on my car. It was suggested by someone that I also change the rubbers inside ( not the window seals) to stop the knocking when going over bumps. I tried googling this but didn't get very far if some could please assist.

Not entirely sure what you might be looking at, but have a look at this place…

They use a series of blow-up diagrams to list parts to make it easier to find, and usually carry a good stock. I’ve used them a few times.

The rubber parts are the stops for the regulator arm travel in the fully open and fully closed positions. They are small rubber blocks attached to the mechanism by either one or two bolts - I forget which.

When they wear or crumble they’ll create noise, but only at ends of window travel.

Are you sure that’s the problem of your rattling window? I recently refurbed my driver window mechanism and replaced seals etc. On my MY91 on 83K the rubber stops were still in excellent condition (cars in hotter climates fare worse).

I’m pretty certain you’ll find your problem is worn nylon window guides which run up and down tube and are very prone to wear. These are cheap (around £30 the pair) and easy to replace. They are numbered 12, 13 on attached diagram but note different part numbers for left and right doors.
