I am new to Porsche looking for your considered help. I am based in London with a 2018 second hand Cayenne diesel platinum model. Coming up to 3years and 32k miles and being advised it’s due a major service. I saw the servicing at 4years and 40k miles includes some extra fluids and checks but local dealer quoting £1,300. I don’t expect porsche motoring to be cheap but I’ve just had a super car serviced at the supplying franchise for £100 less.

Quote feels like it’s a huge upsell over the £550 Porsche website guide for a major service

Help and comments welcome 🙏

Shop around if you want to use an OPC or you're running the Porsche extended warranty as they do vary. Non-Porsche owned franchises are likely to be cheaper.

Failing that, go to a respected Indy. Plenty about.

Where did you see the £500? They stopped publishing the fixed price costs a couple of years ago, didn't they?

I had a major done a couple of weeks ago at Portsmouth for a lot less than that. As previously stated try ringing around.

A major service on my Yeti at a dealers costs nearly £400 so I can't see a Cayenne being £550.

Go on. My recent Panny major would be interested.

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments. I ended up servicing at a well regarded local independent which collected my car gave it a stamped full service and a hand detailed clean for less than half the Porsche quote. Everyone’s a winner except I guess the Porsche franchise’s service centre

Finally someone with sense.
Usually twice the quality and half the price.

Enjoy your car.

Could you name them and the type of work you've had done? I'm looking for some London based ones too

Cheers
