Cayenne on E10
Discussion
Anyone else finding their Cayenne running badly on E10 since the big switch on the 1st of September?
Thankfully I've only put 20 litres through it and it will run okay in the low rev range, but putting your foot down results in low power and a bit of hunting. I've done two 0-60 runs one on E10 and one on BP ultimate 97 the very next day and the results were:
E10: 7.3 seconds
97 Ultimate: 5.9 seconds
Quite clearly a fuel made without performance in mind?

Lower octane so you'd expect some drop in performance however a day probably isn't enough for your car to learn how to run on the E10 fuel. That could be why it's obviously noticeable. Still depends on what you want. Lower cost at the pumps or the best you can get octane wise. I go for the best but it's not a daily.Thankfully I've only put 20 litres through it and it will run okay in the low rev range, but putting your foot down results in low power and a bit of hunting. TBH I had a feeling that the car was going to use that inbuilt knock sensor to pull the power as soon as E10 arrived and it was always going to be hyper sensitive to lower grade fuel as its a built engine courtesy of Gemballa / CarSport Switzerland and when I've finally finished pumping money into all the bits people have neglected and ignored for years it should be pulling around 650BHP / 775ftlb.
Service, filters, spark plugs, cylinder balance test and a session on the rolling road next.
Just did cam sensor and replaced the right fuel pump this week.
