2015 Porsche Cayenne Private Sale Service History Advice
Discussion
Been to look at a lovely porsche cayenne today which is up for sale privately
Late 2015 car in mint condition which has been owned by the current owner since 2016 when it had 3k miles on the clock
BUT the car has only ever been serviced at a regular garage (granted it has 5* on google)
Backstory is the current owner has a business which has a fleet of vehicles which are all looked after by this garage so the bloke also takes his cars there. Other work like discs and pads have been done in their own workshop and there is receipts for all works done at the garage and for parts on the jobs done in their workshop
Would the fact its been serviced outside of OPC/a specialist put you off buying? If not would you be expecting a discount over a car that had been? And how much?

It’s been serviced either by the owners own workshop or by a garage where he’s a big customer. He’s got invoices/parts receipts/job cards to prove it.
Sounds like you’ve lucked out big time - I’d bite his hand off for it.
Only possible downside is if you’re planning to sell it in the next two/three years you may narrow your resale market but would you want to be dealing with the sort of bed wetting cretins who can’t see that it’s early service history is better than An OPC Service history anyway?
