Can anyone highlight the differences between the old Macan and the current facelift version (other than the external aesthetics)?
Has the ride quality improved? Are the air suspensions different?

Only real difference is the wider/bigger PCM and the engines. I’ve got a 2018 Macan Turbo PP....have had two or three loan Macan’s in the last couple fo years when car’s have been in for a service in that time...difference in how the cars drive is negligible. Obviously engines will make a difference but in terms of ride/handling day to day I didn’t notice anything.

The difference between the models isn’t huge.
Personally, I don’t like the rear light strip.

But the best ride/handling comes from the Air/Pasm/20” combination IMO.

I guess if you want a diesel it’s the pre-facelift only.

I have just bought a 2020 Macan S and previously ran a 2017 model.
The new Macan is more responsive at lower speeds, has more direct steering and the gearchanges are much more intuitive with the PDK in auto mode.
My new car has air suspension on 21 inch wheels and although the ride is excellent over choppy road surfaces, it is no better than my old car which had standard suspension on 19 inch wheels.
Both however, are great cars both on road and on rougher tracks and I would say that the Macan is one of the best 'all rounders' that you can buy.
The newer car, being further through the cars model life, will have the advantage of being better sorted at design/ manufacturing level, following the 2018/2019 upgrade.

Thanks for this.
It’s a shame that the new Macan still has this click switches, that you have to click many times to increase the temperature (or hold)
Much prefer the Panamera style interior
