I've been thinking about getting a Macan and am wondering what people think about high mileage examples of this car. There's one on autotrader right now (not for me given the colour, but ignore given quite a few pop up around this mileage from time to time). It has almost 90k miles, which feels like a lot, but is priced competitively. How durable are these? What are the main parts that I'm going to need to budget for in the next 30k miles or so that I wouldn't if I bought say an example with 30-40k miles, which can be had for an extra £8k. How would you go about making this decision?

It's motorway/local miles vs. local driving I suspect?

I'd go for the lower miler for sure and I'd hammer the price down. Make sure the brakes have life left on the 35k miler. That's about the time they need change.

From my experience you can't trust dealers. Use an independent inspector. I bought a 2017 33k miles Cayenne Turbo from Bentley that needed about £15k of work done to it which included brakes, pads, oil leaks, windscreen replacement, sunroof servicing, electric window switch replacement and new tyres all round. I didn't know as I went on Bentley health checks... Which I later found out were meaningless.
