2013 Cayenne diesel oil leak - help!
Discussion
We love our 2013 Cayenne, had it for 5 years, pretty much trouble free a great drive and fits all the family demands.
BUT - we now have the tiniest of oil leaks, only know because of occasional drips on our driveway. Oil doesn't need topping up.
First opinion from independent specialists is it will require engine and gearbox splitting to fix.
We have a 3rd party warranty on the car, they have accepted the issue as a claim and are happy to pay for the repair, no limit other than £75+vat per hour.
Local (Poole/Bournemouth) socialists are saying they can't do the job because it may need a Porsche-only tool.
Local Porsche dealer charges £200/hour.
I've seen various comments that the leak is common on 2013 models, maybe due to oil tracking along the bolts as no Loctite was used and that fixes may be straightforward or full on removal. Also seen US owners get the fix under a US 10 year 120k warranty.
Ideally I'd like to identify a specialist happy to take the job on, expecting the total cost may be in the thousands, subject only to the hourly rate been no higher than £75 + vat...
Any volunteers or recommendations?
Thank you
