Coolant loss 2006 cayenne turbo S
Discussion
I am experiencing a small coolant loss on my 2006 Cayenne Turbo S
So, I drive to Scotland 440 miles and next day, everything's fine
Two days later, I drive from Glasgow to Edinburgh (and queue for the last 5 miles) and the car smells of antifreeze, once its had cooled down (next day) I checked the level and it had lost 250ml
A week later I drive home to Berkshire, 440 miles again, and after checking next day, its all fine
I drive to my local hospital and queue getting into the carpark (34 miles) and next day its lost 500ml
So, clearly loosing coolant when it gets hot queueing but fine on a long run
My local indy had the car all day and couldn't find anything. there's no sign of oil in the antifreeze and no sign of coolant in the oil.
Any thoughts please?
Thanks

It's usually the pipes under the inlet manifold. I've also seen a few coolant hoses at the back of the engine leak slightly. Have you got 4 zone climate control? If so you've got coolant hoses that run to the back of the car so that's another place to check
Is that the same as the plastic coolant pipes that run in the V of the engine? You can replace them for an upgraded part that are made of aluminium rather than plastic.Gassing Station | Front Engined Porsches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
