Warranty extension Macan GTS
Discussion
My wife’s Macan has undergone the 111 point check for warranty extension. All fine.
However the opc also carried out a complimentary wheel alignment check, as they always do.
Apparently the alignment is slightly out and they want another 150 quid to realign the geometry before they issue the warranty.
Alignment was only done 6000 miles ago when we had new tyres fitted, no sign of uneven wear on tyres.
Am I being taken for a ride? Why won’t they let me just take out the extended warranty without the realignment?

Bit of a thread resurrection sorry, but noted that one poster said that they didn't see wheel alignment listed on the 111 point check.
I am in the process of buying a Macan GTS from an OPC.
It will come with 2 years warranty having been through it's 111 point check. Do I, or can I, get a copy of the 111 point check or will Porsche not normally release this data?

I would ask them for it. They will probably try and fob you off. Ask them the specific points you want to know about. Ask them about the geometry. I also ask them to give me a condition report of the brakes (pads and discs) and tyres. They will tell you it’s all within spec and Porsche standards and very high, but I’s be annoyed if you had to spend £2k on brakes all round within 12 months of purchase.I am in the process of buying a Macan GTS from an OPC.

There is no legitimate reason why they would not provide a copy of the 111 point inspection report. I always get one.I am in the process of buying a Macan GTS from an OPC.

As said they should provide a copy. I would hang too much hope on it though, it’s just a bunch of ticks on a sheet. If anything was wrong they should have fixed it and if buying from an old it will have 2 years of warranty anyway for when something does need fixing....
Look out for engine oil leaks, transfer box noise, brake disc wear/ corrosion, headlight leveling arms seizing up, wheel corrosion around the centre caps.
Enjoy the car, they are ace!

Are you able to describe the transfer box noise? I have a strange vibration type noise for a couple of seconds after starting the car.Look out for engine oil leaks, transfer box noise, brake disc wear/ corrosion, headlight leveling arms seizing up, wheel corrosion around the centre caps.

I don't think your symptoms are indicative of a transfer box issue.
Normally transmission juddering feel when on and off the throttle pedal or when reversing with lock on the car feels like it's juddering/dragging the front wheels.
