I believe Porsche enter cars into their classic register when they have been out of production for 10 years.

The original Cayenne production ended in 2010, which means it should enter the Classic status from next year.

Reckon it'll happen? They were very mass produced, now cheap as chips and quite contraversial at the time.

Or will the Classic register be only for the sports cars?

No. Never. When one turns up at a Porsche event a unicorn dies.

Saying that the VW 914 was always a black sheep and then suddenly people were paying stupid money.

So perhaps in 50 years time people may actually consider it a classic. Assuming we have had the apocalypse by then.

With falling values and expensive repair costs, they will become scrapyard donors .... if the electronics will accept donor parts from older vehicles ...
