Cayenne Transfer Case
Discussion
I'm exploring getting a post-2015 Cayenne (perhaps even a turbo )
Reading around it seems quite a few have had one, if not two transfer box issues, requiring replacement.
If I was to buy a car without a warranty (I like to live dangerously), and it ended up requiring a transfer box replacement, what is the likely cost?
cheers

The Porsche warranty is under £1,000 per year and the chocolate transfer box melts on a regular basis and probably costs about the same...
Thanks, Looks like it makes sense to pop it on warranty as soon I buy one, however, I can imagine the pre warranty check will explicitly look for a transfer box issue.
cheers
Hi,
Current Cayenne OPC warranty pricing is:
1yr: £216 - 111 point check, £1020 - 1yr warranty, £185 - 1yr Porsche Assist
or
2yr: £216 - 111 point check, £1770 - 2yrs warranty, £285 - 2yrs Porsche Assist
You can only get it 3 months after the date of ownership started on your V5.
Prices are for my 2016 Cayenne 3.0V6 Diesel.
Hope that helps.
