Does anyone have Experience of the above and running costs say vs an X5 40d.

I’ve gone getting a evouque due to size.

Oh dear. There will not be much traffic here.

What’s an M2? If it’s the second gen then I have one. I’m not in the UK so can’t give exact numbers but the service costs range from “eye brow raising” to “bks the wife will notice the balance drop” and ending at “muhahahaha, oh st you weren’t joking” depending on the engine.

I have the V8 GTS so I drop my first born off at the 40k service. That starts at $1400. Brakes all round were quoted at $5k. To give scale, my wife’s Tiguan brakes all round would cost $1k.

Yeah I meant the Mark 2. Sadly I’m looking at the 3.0tdi. Nothing fancy. Bit of a family chariot.

That’s scary for breaks. My brother has a garage but even so I can’t justify that.

The tdi would be a lot cheaper and now it’s at an age that you would be considering independents. When buying, check the schedule for major service and if you are buying around that time make sure it’s done. That will mean minor and medium services for up to 40k miles.

I bought at 32k knowing the 40k service was around the corner and built it into the price.
