Hi Guys

I haven't posted on here for a few years but i was wondering if anyone could help me with a small/large problem.

I have a 944 turbo

Ive owned the car for around 17 years but she has been in storage for the last few years and i start her up once a month,
about 3 times over the winter when i would start her she would have a very lumpy idle until warm all others times ran fine.

I went to my garage on Tuesday too start her up as usual, the car started 1st time no lumpy idle and was running beautifully.
I was just watching the temp gauge to see when she was up to temperature to check fan was cutting in when all of a sudden
she just turned off like a light switch, no coughs or spluttering just click and off?.

The car would not restart, no turn over nothing, just turn the key dash lights up but nothing.

I went back to the garage today after taking the battery home to recharge, battery was new last year, tried to start her thinking
it may have been temperature sensor but still nothing, dash lights up but nothing else, engine doesn't try to crank just silence.

I've taken out the DME relay and bridged it and the fuel pump is running fine, as before dash lights up but nothing?.

I've had a read on a few forums and thinking it could be starter motor solenoid or ignition switch but was just wondering if anyone
on here has experienced this problem before, its a bit of a pain as i was about to take her to be MOT'd get what needs doing done
and put her up for sale as she is not being used.

Any ideas would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Regards

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you be able to tell me if there is a specific earth strap to check as I've had a look on the internet and there seem to be various grounding points. Regards.
