Cayenne Air Suspension and PASM
Discussion
Hi All,
I’m considering buying a 2012/2013 Cayenne diesel.......can anyone confirm if an air equipped car would have a slightly softer, less firm ride than a car with just PASM (assume both have 21” wheels)?
I know air suspension gives you that advantage of raising and lowering the suspension but curious to know if it also makes for a more comfortable ride.
Many thanks

I've owned a few and all bought new and i specced Steel suspension with PASM every time..I test drove an Air V8 diesel over rough roads and felt that the heavy wheels fell sharply into potholes compared to the PASM steel which was more progressive in rebound and sharp drops.
I owned the new gen Panamera Sport Turismo with Air and it was a total revelation and much better body control and progression due to its three chamber air suspension.
If you want the best ride avoid 21'' rims unless you have the latest three chamber air which seems to cope much better..
