944 exhaust setup question.
Discussion
So in doing the recent timing belt, the workshop said that the current original/oem exhaust on my 87 2.5 is on the way out and I am now looking at replacements.
My criteria are that I don't want or need stainless, also not legally required to have a cat or allowed to spend a fortune and I don't want to be announcing myself from three streets away either!
I know this has been done to death but there is almost too much info for my tiny brain! I have trawled youtube and various forums and it looks like a 2.5" pipe with a mid resonator and a slightly freer back box will do the trick to make it a bit more resonant but without too much rasp but I was wondering whether a straight through or "s bend" back box would be better. Also I wouldn't say no to a little crackle on trailing throttle either!
