Hello folks,

I'm currently refreshing the suspension on my 1990 944 s2. I'm fitting Bilstein B6's all round, on the front as inserts into the existing struts. So what i'm trying to work out is the springs. I can get standard and lowering but what I want is somewhere inbetween. I'd like to drop the car about 15 / 20mm and keep the spring rate as standard. This car is my daily driver so I don't want a harsh ride. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Take care, Andrew.

968 CS springs on the front. The rear is a different matter, google it.

Hi, if such a spring could be found. They are no longer available from Porsche and I cannot find them anywhere else. Take care, Andrew.

Have some adjustable spring platforms welded onto your struts then?

eek I'd definitely go the weld on adjustable platform route. Worth checking the dia of those 968 CS springs compared to yours too, I think Porsche changed the dia of the front spring at some point.

Yes the earlier 944 strut is a different diameter, but the later S2 is the same as on the 968.

It's not only the S2.

So does anybody have fitted Bilstein B6's with 968 CS springs? Mine got fitted before Christmas and I'm now getting a 'twang' going over sharp speed bumps.
