Are these Halogen or Xenons or What?
Discussion
A bit embarrassing to post this since I've been a car lover for about 40 years. My offside dipped beam has gone out, leaving only the main beam operational. Do I need a halogen bulb, or do these look like xenons to you? (The car shown is the actual one in question, I bought it a couple of years ago). I could take a look but I'd need to pop the whole headlamp unit out and I'd sooner do that just the once, with a bulb in my hand. After a bit of googling, I'm still very unsure.
Do you have a headlamp beam level adjuster on the dash? if so then you have a halogen bulb as xenon's are self-levelling and do without this.
On that age of car xenon lamps also require headlamp power wash? - some brands include this in a 'winter pack' or similar so not fail safe however.
cheers

Not quite true as you can get low power xenons which are not self levelling or need washers. On that age of car xenon lamps also require headlamp power wash? - some brands include this in a 'winter pack' or similar so not fail safe however.

Quicker to remove the headlight and check than wait for a reply.
