Hi,

I’m just starting to look at Mk1 Cayenne’s as a family car to replace a E91 335d which isn’t doing as many miles as I thought it would I.e 6k a year.

My budget is about 16k which seems to get both GTS and Turbos. I have read that the turbos are more reliable and not massively more thirsty.

What are the benefits or both?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in a similar boat as well, I've a E90 330i and really fancy a GTS, I've had 8 BMW's but know pretty much nothing about Porsche so any information on running one of these would be great.

Lots of buying guides out there, Gents.

Think that they're pretty good VFM and reliable, to be honest. The NA 4.8 V8 had issues (bore-score?), but not the Turbo, I don't think.

Don't forget the Panamera, though; unless you need 5 seats or massive ground-clearance, it can do everything a Cayenne can and goes/handles better than an SUV, with a better interior.

Where can you buy a Panamera for £16k?

The na 4.8 didn’t bore score only the earlier 4.5s

For that budget, I'd go GTS. A £16k turbo would be a rough one in my view.
