Cayenne Turbo Engine Block
Discussion
Hello everyone,
I am hoping that someone could point me in the right direction on this one.
2005 Turbo on 190,000 kms...........burning oil and clogged catalytic converters.
Car is in Portugal where I live and currently in pieces, seems the bores are scored, especially on cylinders No 3 and No 7, also one of the
camshafts is borked.
Happy with the garage, happy with their work so I am looking at three options.
1. New Block............any ideas where I can buy one.......ideally outright.
2. Is it possible to "re-bore" the existing cylinders and fit larger piston rings.
3. Source a donor car for the engine, not ideal as I may be buying a whole heap of new issues !!
Final option is to "bin" the car, I really do not want to do this for many reasons.
I would appreciate your thoughts, views and advice on this one.
In advance, many thanks
Rob
