Next Gen Cayenne - 7 Seater Option?

I'm looking to replace our Discovery in the next 12 months and Mrs D demands another 7 seater. I don't like the look of the new Disco too much and wondered whether Porsche are consider a 7 seater option for the next Cayenne.. Anyone heard anything? Other than one speculative article I can't see it mentioned much either way.

Haven't heard anything about it though with the Q7 based on the same platform maybe its a possibility but I doubt in the near future...you could see room for the Macan to go up a little in size like the X3 has.

We had a 7 seat X5 which we replaced with a Cayenne. Realised there was only once in the last year we'd "needed" the 7 seat option. There were a couple of other times when we've used it but we we're both around and could have easily taken another car....so we replaced the X5 with a Cayenne.

Mate of mine has a Discovery which he got last September because his wife insisted they needed the 7 seat option....yet to use the 7 seats!

Yep, I hear you.. we don't use ours that often but they are handy when my parents come over from the US to stay and, increasingly, for carting around the in-laws too. I quite like the Q7 and I did wonder that with the platform sharing whether we would see a 7 seater Cayenne.. There's not a great choice of 7 seater cars over here compared to the States.. I see VW have recently launched the Atlas there which looks huge.

I love the look of the Velar but no seven seat option there.. RRS (which can be had as a 7 seater) is starting to look a bit dated now IMHO.
