Cayenne Turbo - issues with Tiptronic ...help please!
Discussion
Hi all
I have had my 2010 (2011MY) Cayenne Turbo since February, and really love it, but if I ever pull out at a junction and accelerate very hard in first gear, the car seems to hold first gear and refuses to change up, despite me intervening and using the up-shifter on the wheel. It will eventually change up, but only after I have screamed along in first gear, looking like a clown!
I have also noticed that if I am accelerating hard out on the road, expecting the car to shift from second to third, the car seems to take an audible induction gasp as it changes up, making the shift feel quite slow. The car does this in both "normal" and "Sport" modes. MY kids love it, but my feeling is that there might be a gearbox issue...
Has anybody else had a similar experience? My car is still under Porsche warranty, but don't want to waste my time at the dealership without asking in a forum first (have already seen answers to some of my other questions, such as the grumbling from the steering at full lock when parking, and the general noise from the steering on the move which I understand is to do with the Servotronic system - so many systems; so many noises!)
Thanks in anticipation
Regards
Robert
