Cayenne Advice
Discussion
Hi all,
I just bought this Cayenne today over the phone and collect it on Thursday. I was against getting a diesel due to the risk of high depreciation with all the bad press at the moment, however I figured if bought it using a PCP instead of cash, Porsche are sharing the risk here as they are valuing the car at guaranteed 55% it's current sell price in 3 years time. Love the GTS colour as I had a look at a few Black and Grey ones, but they just look a bit dull. It's got nearly every option you could want too, so very excited to collect it!
The only thing I want to change is the rear tailpipes to twin black ones and the silver lip trim at the bottom of the boot lid to a black one to match the rest of the car. I'll get the trim from Porsche, but their tailpipes are ridiculously expensive, so was going to look at alternatives. Anyone got any suggestions?

As for the tailpipes...look up a chap called jimmyho1023 on ebay. He was mentioned a few times on 6speedonline with folk liking his products. I bought a set of twin round pipes (long version) from him for my 958 diesel. They looked like the 'turbo' pipes if it helps. Shipped from HK the boxes they came in had Porsche branding and even laser etched part numbers. All rather funny but the product was spot on. Did about 40k with them on and apart from usual cleaning they stayed in top condition

Fitting is super easy - or rather it should be. There's only one star type bolt holding the existing pipes in place. Clamp type fitting. However, mine was on super tight. I bottled it as was worried about breaking the exhaust so took it to my local exhaust/tyre place. They put some heat on the bolt to loosen things. While on the ramp they swapped things over. Slipped them £20 and job sorted.
