Macan Turbo Performance Package Delivery
Discussion
Has anybody taken delivery of a Macan Turbo Performance Package yet? Just intrigued to see first impressions etc. Mine not due to arrive until the end of April. I've only see road tests on the snow, so not a lot of good! Also can't seem to find any feedback from owners in threads that have taken delivery. They seem to be in very short supply by all accounts from what I can make out.
Yes got mine in Dec . 3000miles in now . Great daily driver .
Quick enough , handles well , makes a good noise . It was over a year since I had a standard Turbo so can't really compare if the performance difference is noticeable, but an extra 40bhp , bigger brakes and GTS suspension cannot be a bad thing !
I'm surprised how few are out there . The 1st used car only appeared on line 2 days ago ( at £95k ! )

Thanks, you must of had one of the very first cars, looks like a lovely spec. Looking forward to seeing a few UK road tests. Will be interested to see how many Porsche UK bring in, my dealer have only been allocated one so far so numbers seem low.

£95K for a Macan ffs !
It's was a particularly excessive Spec ! Mine was £74k which is a touch better. Just to update the OP , my dealer have taken in a PTS Rivera Blue RS6 which i really fancied . I test drove today expecting to be blown away by Performance and therefore have a difficult decision to make . It was actually a disappointment . Only marginally quicker if any , handling felt sloppy in comparison and PDK felt much slicker than Audi box . Was quite surprised TBH .
RS6 are quite a weapon, so the MAC turbo PP must be quite something, really excited now about getting mine! Gone for Volcano grey with the turbo exterior and interior packs and a few other nice bits like the pano roof, etc. My Macan SD has been a fantastic all round car, but really fancied replacing it with an unhinged super MAC!

Enjoy! Out of interest How does it compare to the GTS? I ordered the GTS originally which I think is probably the sweet spot in the range bang for buck, but decided last minute to change to the Turbo PP as really fancied something that felt seriously quick, kind of a practical 911 as I have two young children so needed the practicality....

Also keen to here difference . Performance Pack is a no brainier over standard Turbo , but I passed on GTS and do wonder how it compares . For comparible Spec to my PP the GTS is £65k , so £10k saving . £10k doesn't sound to bad a deal in my book for 80bhp , a slab of torque , big brakes and a new engine cover :-) . They are also pretty rare from what I can tell in comparison . Surely the pick of the range now ? Hi guys. I did part ex on a 991 Turbo S for the Macan Turbo PP so after driving that for 100 miles to the OPC most things feel a bit slow to start with. I have now had time to take the car out this morning and can say it's amazing. Not stupidly faster than the GTS but you can feel the difference everywhere. Brakes are great with the larger vented disks at the front and I think the turn into corners feels better too. Only negative is the edge of the front brake disks are not powder coated like the rears and all other porsche steels I have driven so there is rust on the outer edge. Think I will talk to porsche about this.
Otherwise very happy and am confident You will get the extra £10000 (or so) back when you come to sell down the line.

GTS, Turbo, and Turbo PP all share the exact same brakes. GTS vs Turbo PP:
360hp vs 440hp
500NM vs 600NM
5.2s vs 4.4s to 62mph
1895kg vs 1925kg

No the Turbo PP has its own dedicated brakes. 30mm larger grooved disks . Agree the GTS has the standard Turbo brakes . . Dr S said:
No reason to buy a stock Turbo anymore
TBH, I also sort of question the need for anything more than the twin-turbo'd GTS either. A 5second family wagon has already proven to be plenty to aggravate the wife and kids in the back when the loud pedal gets mashed! spareparts said:
Ha! I didn't realise that. Thanks for the correction. The GTS/Turbo brakes have never been found wanting in even very spirited driving through the Alps up/down the various alpine roads. So maybe the bigger discs are useful for trackwork...
!
I think it's all down to the 60-0 time needing to be half 0-60 , which is some kind of Porsche policy I keep reading about . !
