Cayenne rear window demists very slowly
Discussion
First frosty morning - although I have a feeling I had this problem last year too.
The rear window demister on my (53 plate) Cayenne is extremely slow. It clearly is working - I can see that it begins to demist around the elements (and the mirrors demisted quickly). However, after a 15 min drive this morning, it was still only really demisted around the elements.
Any ideas? I'm sure it should be quicker than this - I'd scraped all the ice from the outside before I left.

- any leaks in the back or excess moisture as this would make the condensation harder to clear
Must admit this occurred to me last night - the windscreen always takes an age to clear too, so I wonder if there is some damp getting in. Perhaps the drain points are blocked. Will have a check for damp carpets etc, make sure the drain points are clear and maybe check the voltage too.unclepezza said:
couple of things to check:
- any leaks in the back or excess moisture as this would make the condensation harder to clear
- check what power is getting through to the element with a volt meter, as you may have a bad connection.
+1 Damp somewhere would be my first thought...- any leaks in the back or excess moisture as this would make the condensation harder to clear
