Somebody Rescue This?
Discussion
Saw this while visiting a breakers today. It's looks completely rust free on the body. Tailgate was heavily corroded. Apparently runs with a miss-fire.
I have no idea if it is a RUF of some kind. Didn't look special in the engine bay. Interior looked tidy but with plenty of patina. Wiring was all dangling below the glove box.
Surely worth saving by somebody. I have no connection with the car or the breaker.

Looks like it's been in a crash looking at the shut line and the bottom of the door not lining up with front panel in a big way!!
Maybe, maybe not. But fitting wings from a 968 to an early 944 would take some serious time and effort to get them to line up correctly, so I expect that's where the problem lies. But of course it may well have been done to hide something underneath...Either way it looks like a shed to me that's best being put out of it's misery by helping other cars to live on.
