It's taken me a while to get round to it, but SWMBO picked up her GTS 10 days ago and wow what a lovely car.
Swindon OPC were great and can't be praised enough for the service they gave. Exclusive Car Care have detailed my last few cars so the OPC arranged a covered trailer both ways to Justin so he could work his magic and then apply G-Techniq crystal serum. The quality of the paint was quite bad from so it took him quite a bit longer than expected, but the results are stunning.
Carmine red is a brave choice but I think really suits the car and it looks great with the black leather and contrast red stitching on the seats, dash, etc.
Bad points - I can't get my wife out of it! She has done over 850 in 10 days. The other bad point - sub 20mpg on v-power. Hopefully with a few more miles on the clock that will improve a little but we live in the roundabout city so never get close to published mpg.
And a few pictures as required by PH rules.

Looks stunning. I have one on order and chickened out of CR at the last moment. Went for silver with red leather instead. Bit of a worry on the mpg, might have to add the 75 litre tank.
Thank you and it is really stunning. Silver was our first choice for a long time and you won't be disappointed with the red interior.Definitely go for the 75l tank. In fact go for the larger tank on all Porsches. Road use, I'm only getting 160 miles out of my 65l tank on the GT4 so with the Macan as well we are getting on rather well now with the lstaff at our local shell garage!
PS - also add sport Chrono on the Macan as it makes such a difference. The car can be quite lethargic unles you floor the throttle which is when is lurches forward. Sport sharpens the whole things up and it hangs on to the gear longer and makes it so much more responsive. First button the missus presses after she starts it up.

Photos look a bit brighter than Carmine cars have looked in the metal to me but imagine it looks superb....bit less shouty than Guards Red which I think would suit the Macan just brilliantly.
Agree I was shocked that was carmine when I saw the pics. Love Carmine red but this look guards in the pictures, enjoy the SUV :-)Just ordered a Macan and nearly ordered the GTS just to get Carmine Red. Fortunately its being made available across the range from November so opted for the Diesel S instead. I have to say I thought it was going to be a deeper red so not sure if I've got the balls to go for it. Is Carmine a flat or metallic/pearlescent?

I've seen carmine red in person and it looks nothing like the car pictured. The carmine red I've seen had much more blue in it. It looked quite classy as far as reds go. As a person that generally doesn't like red cars, I really liked that particular shade.
The car in these pictures looks guards red to me. I suspect it's the combination of bright sunlight and the camera sensor not being able to cope.
The pictures in the bottom of this link are a pretty good rep of how different it can look

Carmine red is stunning - like you we've gone for the diesel S in CR with 21 inch sport design wheels in gloss black - waiting for a build slot but told November/DecemberThis is a picture of it taken on my iPhone - excuse the dirt but hopefully it looks more realistic than the original pictures I posted. Carmine is a non-metallic colour but seems to have black tones and goes particularly well with the black trim on the GTS version.
We have done over 3k miles now and the car is a fantastic for it size and class. The ride is so flat and the steering beautifully weighted compared the the 3 series M-sport I recently hired. The sports exhaust is getting a lot louder with pops and crackles on both up shifts and downshifts and the sports setting on the PASM is ideal for all roads and is the default setting for us. I'd definitiley recommend PASM over steels springs to any purchaser.
Personally I'm finding the 18 way seats a pain to adjust to my liking so would maybe have stuck with 8-way in hindsight and spent the money elsewhere. Also not convinced about the sunroof but everyone tells me this hits resale prices hard if not included.
Macan is still pretty rare sight and carmine red even more so if you don't mind a bold SUV and the attention It brings then go for it. It's my wife's car and she loves the colour but thinks now it's a bit too ostentatious and will got for a more low key colour for the replacement.
