Looking at the above and the majority of cars for sale do not seem to have it.

Is it that big a deal?

What are the must haves from people with some experience of living with these things?

Thx

It's better with, and more so if you have big wheels. I've got it and personally wouldn't buy one without. It's a pricey option so i imagine most people just thought they wouldn't need it.... but after you drive both you will appreciate it.

As for other options -
Full leather is nice (leather dash etc)
18-way Adaptive seats are the best seats I've ever sat in. Look good too.
Wheels make the car - small ride better but big look better IMO.

Best not to get too fussy when looking at used cars - just stick to the essentials, which for *me* would be colour, big wheels, air susp, full leather and 18-way seats. Anything else is a bonus.

Mine is much older (53 plate) but again, I don't think I'd buy one without. It really does transform the car into different beasts - comfy motorway cruising or a surprisingly fun car on a twisty road.

If you are buying 'pre-owned' then try to find a hi-spec car with all the toys - they're a nicer ownership experience.

From recollection, yes, Air Suspension + PASM is a definite advantage and works well with the bigger wheels. Agree about the Adaptive seats. Power tailgate is a must have, I think, plus all the usual nicesties - PCM, Bose, Heated Seats, Full Leather, PDC F&R. Some people like the panoramic roof, power steering +, electric tow bar? Friend had the pre-heater which I thought was really useful in winter.

I've got an '08 without air suspension, never driven one with air but runs fine without & I'm on GTS sport design 21 inch rims. I suppose if you've never had it you don't miss it.

When I looked at selling my wife's - the first few questions I was asked was

Air suspension
Nav
Blue tooth
Pan roof
Reverse camera
21inch wheels

As said above, look to get a high spec one, the difference between poverty spec and very good spec could have been as much as £15k new and is only £5k used...

Here is a extras list of my wife's, gives an idea of option costs when new
