Just started to notice my Cayenne 4.5 Turbo S smokes on start-up - just a puff of smoke when it fires and then it goes away. No other symptoms and no oil drop of the oil level

Is that a turbo seal problem?

A brief puff of smoke on a cold start does sound like turbo oil seals. If it's not using oil don't panic. if it gets worse then get it checked. HTH.

If you aren't using any oil in a cayenne v8 turbo sounds like you are doing well! Have a look in the owners manual as the oil consumption is something like 1litre/1000 miles, it might even be 800 miles.

They consume tyres, brakes, petrol and oil at a fair rate whilst at cruise missile speed.

I have to agree. I am lucky to get 1200 kms per litre of oil, maybe 19K or 20K kilometres per set of tyres, and no matter how hard I try I just cannot get better than 5.5 kms/litre of fuel. Maybe I should give up on conservative driving and just rag it more smilesmile
