Cayenne 957 Diesel
Discussion
Hi
I am looking to upgrade from a 2004 Cayenne to a 2009 Cayenne Diesel. There are some well documented issues with the 955 Cayenne's but I can't find much about the 957, what are the common issues to look out for?
Also, can the Diesel handle higher miles? As they near 100k, is this something to be put off by?
Many thanks
Tan

I scored 18.9mpg on a 600 mile round trip to Aberdeen and back a week ago in my Cayenne Turbo. In view of your 21mpg my man math totally justifies buying the Turbo!
19.9 is the current record up and 9.8 on the down. Still super unleaded is getting cheaper. You'd want 30's to even start to consider an oil burner. Had a 2009 Cayenne diesel for 3 years and it did roughly 27MPG.
Just upgraded to newer shape (2011) and the difference in driving experience is massive.
The new car feels so much more responsive and the 8 speed auto box helps a lot.
Steering is sharper and whole car feels a load lighter.
