Cayenne Turbo Power Steering fluid
Discussion
Hi All,
By force of habit I normally keep a litre of engine oil, gearbox oil and power steering fluid in the boot of any of my cars. I'm fine on the engine oil & gearbox oil but struggling to ID the type of PS fluid I need.
On the tank it says "use mineral oil only" searching on the net throws up a choice of CHF 11S or CHF 202. Both can be mixed so that's ok but the only variants I can find are synthetic rather than mineral.
Again searching on the net it says CHF11S or 202 should be light green in colour, the PS fluid in my tank is this colour so I'm not sure if the fluid I have in the vehicle is mineral or synthetic!
I've read somewhere that porsche only changed to synthetic fluid after 2006 but not sure how accurate that is or if my car has had the fluid flushed and synthetic used instead.
Is there any way to confirm what fluid type is in there or do I need to visit an Indy porsche garage?
