Or 4.8? I get about 20 mpg in mixed use but less round town. Fabulous car though - quiet, refined. Warranty approx 1k per year, tax £500, last major service was about £750. Disks and pads aren't cheap and it gets through them.

Eh? A Land Rover warranty will cost more, tax will be the same for both, LR services are more frequent AFAIK, brakes etc probably similar prices (I just checked on www.eurocarparts.com and discs for my 4.5 are around £60-70 inc VAT, I did the same for a RR TDV8 Vogue and they are about £45-65, so yes a bit cheaper but not so much to be prohibitive to the Porsche).

I'd try driving both and see which you prefer and let that decide - this isn't a head-only decision, if it was you'd be getting something like a Shogun. smile

£240 quid at the indy in Horley

oh, and after 120,000 miles the interior looked like it had seen about 12,000

Mine's the same but I don't think I paid that much for a service (had it 2.5 years so only needed one so far).
